John Edward Goodwin (1876-1948) was head of stacks and loans at Stanford University Library and a librarian at the University of Texas before becoming a librarian at the University of California Southern Branch (later UCLA) in 1923. The collection consists of correspondence, articles, photographs, clippings, notes, memorabilia, and printed material related to Goodwin's career as a librarian.

Goodwin was born in 1876; attended Univ. of Wisconsin and New York State Library School, Albany; became head of stacks and loans at Stanford Univ.
